About
Hi, I’m Alfredo.
I started Miles Tested to answer one question before you reach the airport: will this bag fit, and is it worth carrying?
Why this blog exists
Carry-on sizes keep changing. Two airlines rarely agree on the numbers, and the number on the bag’s tag is not always the number the gate measures.
Every so often someone is told at the gate to check a bag they were sure would fit. Then comes a fee, a wait at the carousel, and a trip that started badly.
Miles Tested is the place I wished existed: airline limits side by side, the exact size and weight of each bag, and plain answers about what is worth packing. By plane, road, rail or sea.
How we choose what to recommend
Four checks come before any link. When two sources disagree, the article says so.
-
Official airline rules
Size and weight limits come from the airline's own pages, with the date we read them.
-
The maker's numbers
Dimensions and weight come from the manufacturer, including the wheels and handles, because that is what the gate measures.
-
Reviews from real buyers
We read what owners say after months of use, and look for the problems that repeat.
-
Warranty and returns
A bag you can fix or send back is worth more than one that is a little cheaper.
Spot something out of date?
Airline limits change. If a number here is wrong, tell me and I will fix it.
